Whaler Games is a small team of 10 talented and passionate guys who have been making games since 2020. They love mobile games and a systematic approach, actively use analytics for decision-making.

They made a hit - Pirate Raid, an action game with RPG elements that's been downloaded over 11 million times. Right now, they're working hard on a new game - Jelly Hole and are looking to expand their team with a Level Designer.

Responsibilities

  • Design levels with quality metrics and data in mind.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking, collect and analyze references.
  • Develop and document level design methodology.
  • Work with analytics, formulate hypotheses, and test them.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in level design.
  • Ability to work with level curves.
  • Experience in Unity or other editors (Cocos, Unreal Engine).
  • Data-driven approach: using analytics to improve levels (requesting metrics, analyzing drop-offs, conversions, etc.).
  • Rich gaming experience and love for mobile games, be aware of the state of the mobile industry, game industry trends.
