Tinkles Games is one of the studios whose cool games SayGames publishes.

Tinkles Games is a mobile game development company. The team focuses on creating high-quality hyper and hybrid casual games.
Currently, as we expand our team, we are looking for a Level Designer for an exciting project - Wasteland Life: Survival Idle. This is the studio’s key title at the moment. It’s a non-standard idle arcade game featuring custom design, many unique mechanics and features, and a large volume of content.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building 3D game locations in Unity
  • Progression balancing: difficulty, resource distribution, and pacing
  • Level economy work: implementing tasks and conditions based on the Balance GD
  • Collaboration with the team: game designers, artists, and programmers
  • Iterating based on analytics and player feedback

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Knowledge of game design and level design principles
  • Experience working as a Level Designer on mobile projects in the Idle Arcade genre
  • Experience with tools: ProBuilder, Spline, NavMesh
  • Experience creating 3D levels/locations/entities in Unity: navigation, blockout, dressing, colliders, triggers, World UI elements, and object parameters
  • Ability to maintain level design documentation: tools, feature usage guidelines

Nice to have:

  • Experience adding narrative details to environments (environmental storytelling)
  • Understanding of the Idle Arcade / Survival Idle core loop (resource gathering, crafting, exploration, progression)
  • Experience working with analytics (player behavior analysis and level tuning)
  • Understanding of real-world environments: road infrastructure, architecture, and visual language of themed locations
  • Experience creating blueprints and layout diagrams
  • Strong artistic sense and feeling for proportions
