About project

We are developing Draw Arena (Google Play, App Store) – a midcore PvE game with a card system, where players draw their units and battle for control on the battlefield.

The game is currently in soft launch, and our goal is to transition from ad-based monetization to in-app purchases (IAP).

We are looking for an experienced Game Designer who can balance the game in a way that encourages players to naturally transition into spending money.

Responsibilities

  • Restructure the game's balance and economy, focusing on in-app purchases.
  • Develop the difficulty curve in collaboration with the level design team.
  • Create a monetization strategy for the project, including well-defined paywalls.
  • Adjust the balance of difficulty and economy based on A/B tests and analytical data.
  • Review and optimize the unit progression system.
  • Work with analysts to integrate new events into the game and manage custom dashboards.
  • Set pricing in the in-game store.

Requirements

We are looking for a Game Designer (Balancer) who:

  • Understands the principles of balancing combat systems.
  • Has experience balancing in midcore F2P games.
  • Can create and optimize game economies, balancing progression, monetization, and player retention.
  • Understands how to work with monetization and paywalls.
  • Applies a mathematical approach to balancing and analyzing game economics.
  • Knows how to work with data and A/B testing.
  • Is proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and analytical tools.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working with CCG or Battler games.
