We’re looking for a 3D Generalist to join our Playable Ads team — creating interactive mini-games used in marketing campaigns for billions of players worldwide.

Why this role is different


You don’t just make assets — you build the entire experience

At SayGames, a 3D artist working on playables is much closer to a mini art director than a traditional production artist. You’ll shape the full visual experience: that means optimization, scene setup in the engine, VFX, SFX, and even a touch of game design.

If something from the original game doesn’t look good enough — improve it. If the colors feel weak — redesign them.

We encourage artists to make the playable version look even better than the original game. Sometimes improvements made for a playable later end up inside the actual game or ASO.


Fast production cycles and real ownership

Our production cycles are usually 1–3 weeks.

  • No years spent on the same feature.
  • No months of pre-production.
  • No endless approval chains and revision loops.

The game already exists — so instead of inventing everything from scratch, you can immediately jump into creating, improving, and experimenting.

Usually, a playable is built by one artist and one developer. That’s it. No endless meetings. No complicated hierarchies. Decisions happen quickly and directly inside the production process.


Huge variety of projects, styles, and creative freedom

You’ll work with games across many genres, mechanics, and visual styles. Some projects will feel comfortable and familiar. Some will push you to grow technically or creatively.

And if the current project isn’t your thing — that’s okay. You’re not locked into it forever. There’s always room to switch styles, genres, or tasks together with the team.

Playable Ads are highly performance-sensitive, which means optimization becomes part of the creative process itself.

You’ll learn how to think deeply about:

The main focus of the role is the artistic side, complemented by a technical understanding of implementation within the game engine.

If you already have a strong side skill — you’ll have space to use it.
If you want to learn something new — fast production cycles make this one of the best environments to grow quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize 3D and 2D assets for Playable Ads, setting them up in the game engine.
  • Set up scenes: lighting and shadows, materials, and overall atmosphere.
  • Work with VFX — particle systems.
  • Collaborate with programmers to turn ideas into ready-to-launch creatives.

Requirements

  • Academic foundation: composition, color theory, perspective, lighting, stylization.
  • Ability to assemble 3D/2D scenes, set up materials, lighting and shadows.
  • Proficiency in Blender: topology, optimization, UV mapping.
  • Confident use of particle systems.
  • Knowledge of Cocos Creator or willingness to transition to it.
  • Up-to-date portfolio.
